LATITUDE is proud to offer Intro to Studio Lighting with community member Kevin Serna! Intro to Studio Lighting will cover basic lighting techniques using professional strobe kits with a variety of modifiers. Participants will learn how to handle each piece of equipment as well as best practices for set up and breakdown. Kevin will also share his expertise on photo assisting, different lighting scenarios, and troubleshooting. The one day workshop is designed to serve as an introduction or a brush-up on specialized photographic tools.

The group will meet on Sunday, April 7th from 10am-3pm. Snacks and coffee will be provided!

Lighting equipment rental will be generously provided by ProGear Rental. Participants are asked to bring their own dSLR camera.

Space is limited to 12 participants so grab your spot early!

Refund Policy: For all LATITUDE courses, full payment is required to reserve your spot in the class. If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, LATITUDE can provide a 100% refund for cancellations made 10 days prior to the start date of the course. Cancellations made with less than the 10 day notice will be given a 100% lab credit. No refund will be guaranteed for cancellations made the on start day of the course or after and will be considered on a case to case basis.

Kevin Serna is a fine art, portrait and editorial photographer based in Chicago. Kevin earned his Bachelors of Arts in Photography in 2012 from Columbia College Chicago and has since gone on to show his work locally and internationally. His work has been featured in print and online media outlets such as It's Nice That, iGNANT, Ain't Bad and Chicago Center for Literature and Photography's Weekender Magazine. Some of his clients have included Monocle, Here Foods, Ace Hotels and Chicago Magazine.
