Photoshop is a tool that helps to bring out the best in your image. Introduction to Photoshop: Selections and Curves with Colleen Keihm will explain how to control selections within images and manipulate colors and tones. The tools that will be used are the Magic Wand, Lasso, Color Range, and Quick Mask. This one session workshop is designed to give artists basic tools and skills to control color, highlights and shadows in specific areas, as well as some guidance on file management and photoshop workspaces.

Selection and Curves Workshop will cover:

  • Magic Wand, Lasso, Ink Dropper, Color Range, and Quick Mask tools

  • Review the benefits of using Curves instead of Levels

  • Discuss basic color management and control of files

  • File Management recommendations

  • How to control masks on Curve layers

This workshop is ideal for someone who is new to printing or Photoshop use and looking to expand their overall knowledge. This would also be a good refresher course for someone who hasn’t worked with the program in a while.
