Are you looking to make color accurate ultra high-resolution digital files from 2D reflective media? Join us and learn the basics of Overhead Scanning with Ash Huse, our Education Coordinator! This tutoring session covers scanning workflows on LATITUDE’s Overhead Scanner, also referred to as the copy stand. In this session, students will learn how to:
• Make adjustments to the scanning workstation to accommodate various sizes of artwork originals
• Adjust light sources for a balanced exposure
• Create a digital workflow utilizing Sony’s Remote and Capture applications
• Adjust shutter speed and aperture to create a balanced histogram
• Manage .ARQ files (including sizing files, rectilinear adjustments, and exporting final files)
• Import images utilizing Camera Raw
• Stitch images in Photoshop
Students will leave with two ultra high-resolution digital files of work(s) they provide and/or LATITUDE supplied demo materials and a free hour on the scanner. This prerequisite also unlocks DIY use of the Overhead Scanner which is $25 per session (not including Latitude day fee of $15).
This 3 hour, one-on-one session will be scheduled individually with the Education Coordinator.
