Recent Grad Workshop: Paper, Color, & Technical Tips

Furthering your artistic practice after graduation can take many shapes, and we’re proud to offer access to high end printing and scanning equipment and educational resources to our community of artists, photographers, and enthusiasts in Chicago.

In this segment of our Recent Graduate event series, our Technical Director Alex Wieder will host a discussion regarding some of the technical aspects of furthering your artistic practice, including:

  • Different inkjet printing processes

  • File management best practices

  • Why color management matters

  • What substrates to use and when

  • Defining “Archival”

  • Open vs. Limited editions (and limited signed prints)

While all of the above topics are beneficial to learn about regardless of your graduation status, feel free to bring other questions or topics to discuss! We’ll be tailoring the content of this technical discussion to the wants and needs of the group. We can talk about portfolio strategies, web presence, digital display, and whatever else you’re interested in!

This event will take place at LATITUDE and is free and open to the public.

Recent grads receive 50% off the daily membership fee and 15% off ink charges. Discounts are valid for one year after graduation. Proof of graduation required. View our membership costs here.
