Ella Rose Flood - Dedicated to Ralph Pomeroy 1

$4,000.00

Dedicated to Ralph Pomeroy 1, 2025

Inkjet print on paper in wood frame
18.713 x 35 inches

Edition of 3 and 1 AP

Ella Rose Flood’s studio is housed in an impressive, haunting, Prairie School building erected in 1908. Because of the ecclesiastical nature of the structure, there have been many rumors amongst tenants as to what other types of entities might occupy the space. As the building shifts hands and succumbs to developers, the artist has done research into what deceased occupants could potentially be hanging around the building, and has been making efforts towards the acknowledgment of them and the structure itself, ultimately constructing an archive in memory. A poem for Reverend Ralph J. Pomeroy (born Winnetka, IL, rev. 1945-77) by artist Ralph Pomeroy (born Evanston, IL, 1926, raised Winnetka, IL, died 1999, San Francisco, CA).
