Tei Carpenter

Tei Carpenter is founder and director of Agency—Agency, an award-winning New York City based architectural design practice dedicated to the transformative potentials of design. The studio specializes in cultural and public projects at multiple scales including environments, infrastructure, buildings and exhibitions. Agency—Agency was honored with the AIA New Practices New York award from the American Institute of Architects and the League Prize from the Architectural League of New York in 2021. Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including the Museum of Modern Art, Storefront for Art and Architecture, and the Oslo Triennale. Tei’s work is held in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Alongside practice, Tei is an educator and she is an Assistant Professor at the Princeton University School of Architecture.
