Inkjet Image Transfer introduces you to techniques needed to properly transfer images to both porous and nonporous materials. Certification for printing at LATITUDE is required to take this class. Authorization can be achieved by taking an Intro to Print.

During our time together, we will cover:

✰ How to prepare the chemistry and your substrates for inkjet transfer

✰  Physically applying two images onto user supplied materials

✰ Printing your images on Inkaid transfer paper

You will leave this session with two 8” x 10” transfers on the objects you provide!

Preparing for Class

✰ Please bring two high-resolution images roughly sized to 8x10 inches at 300 dpi.

✰ Please bring two materials 8”x10” or larger to transfer your images onto. We recommend flat non-porous surfaces for the best results but encourage you to experiment!

This session be approximately 2.5 hours of 1:1 tutoring time.

This one-on-one session will be scheduled individually. After booking we will follow up with you via e-mail with dates and times within your provided availability.

Admission Type:

Copious amounts of Isopropyl Alcohol are used during the workshop and precautions such as a respirator should be taken by sensitive individuals.

Eye protection is not required but is recommended for those with sensitivities to vapors.

Accessibility notes: Frequent movements such as sitting at a computer workstation, standing at a printer, and trimming prints at the production table are a part of this workshop. Roll paper is loaded by staff and manual, top loading of individual sheets is optional. This workshop’s mobility can be reduced and/or limited by request. Refund Policy: For all LATITUDE courses, full payment is required to reserve your spot in the class. If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, LATITUDE can provide a 100% refund for cancellations made 10 days prior to the start date of the course. Cancellations made with less than the 7 day notice will be given a 100% lab credit. Cancellations made within 72 hours of class run will be given a credit for 50% of the purchase price which can be used for any lab purchases, including re-enrollment, in the future. No refund for cancellations made on the start day of the course and will be considered a donation to the space.
