Aimée Beaubien
I use photographs as material for collage, artist books, and immersive environments of cut, layered, and suspended images that reflect attention drift, overwhelm, and entanglement. Across three decades, I have pushed photography to behave otherwise—sculptural, sprawling, tactile, and spatial—while remaining rooted in lived experience. My work mirrors the connective ambition of vines, reaching toward everything they encounter, and reflects the restless energy of our image-saturated world. Through accumulation, fragmentation, and unexpected connections, I explore relationships between bodies, landscapes, technologies, and one another.
