KAyla Reefer
Kayla Reefer, born 1992, is an Afro-Panamanian American multi-disciplinary artist based in Chicago, Illinois. Her still imagery primarily nests in the genres of portraiture and documentation through which she explores the varying nuances of identity, intimacy, and community.Reefer’s visual art practice has allowed her to pose questions, imagine possibilities, and brainstorm solutions concerning the erasure of people whose identities mirror her own.

I haven't had my Latitude residency yet but I have used the space here and there and it was been a warm embrace. everyone is always so kind and helpful, and I always look forward to suggestions shared about potential routes in which to take my work.
