DAVID ROTHENBERG

David Rothenberg lives and works in Queens, New York. The neighborhoods around him have become the basis of his photographic practice. His projects begin by returning to the same places over months or years. The photographs emerge from moments that are easily overlooked—fleeting alignments of light, gesture, and place that appear and disappear in the course of everyday life.

Rather than describing a place comprehensively, Rothenberg's photographs reflect an ongoing process of looking, returning, and noticing.
