THOUGHTS ON THE LAB
Prior to the residency, I had limited experience printing my photographs and had never done it on my own. The same was true of film photography. It was the first time I had ever scanned my negatives. Having free development gave me the freedom to experiment with film in a way I otherwise wouldn't have been able to. The studio visits were incredibly helpful too. My conversations with Lori Waxman and Pamela Bannos were the first time I seriously began thinking about walks as performances.
